Gold Mother is a spoken word project that blends poetry, improvisation and sound experimentation in a performance created in real time. Taking the spoken word as its starting point, the collective explores new paths in a concert where each element is transformed through listening and dialogue between the performers.
On stage, Margarida Azevedo presents original texts accompanied by Luís Guerreiro (trumpet and electronics), Jorge Nuno (guitar), Hernâni Faustino (double bass) and Flak (drums). Together, they construct soundscapes that oscillate between restraint and intensity, creating an atmosphere that is at once intimate, visceral and unpredictable.
With no fixed scores, Gold Mother evolves through experimentation, improvisation and collective creation, making each concert a unique experience. Words take on form, rhythm and breath, bringing poetry closer to a physical and performative dimension.
More than just a concert, Gold Mother offers a space where artistic languages meet, where music and text coexist in a constant balance between composition and freedom. An open realm of collective creation, built on listening, risk-taking and presence.
